Grace in Perfection

This is the conclusion of a passage on humility which is from verse 5 to 10. It’s written by the apostle Peter but there is a similar passage on the same topic written by James in James 5:4-10. Here Peter exhorts the believers to be humble towards one another and especially to God, seeking Him and casting the cares of life upon Him, being soberly aware of the devil and his temptations and to actively resist the devil because it is a common thing for all believers. But having gone through the suffering of being tempted and resisting temptation, God Himself will make sure that they finish well, being perfected, confirmed, strengthened and established by Him. It is a reminder to the believers that they cannot be so proud as to carelessly think that they can handle the challenges of life and the temptations of the enemy without the help of God. He encourages the believers by reminding them that it is God who will help them go through the wilderness journey of life and He Himself will make sure the journey will produce in them the purposed end result which is a strong and stable Christlike character. He, the God of all grace, has more than enough grace to cover the believer’s life journey, from salvation to sanctification and to glory, for the believer is called by God to His eternal glory in Christ.
