From the previous verse “there” refers to “the remotest part of the sea.” The whole psalm talks about the fact that God never loses track of me wherever I am and whatever I do. He is always there with me and for me. He even thinks of me all the time. Whoa! What an awesome God. I am ever safe and cared for because of His Presence in my life but I also can’t hide anything from Him. He’s my reality footage cam, GPS, satellite surveillance, my Bodyguard, Security Team, Friend, Father, and MORE, all rolled into one! What an awesome and sobering thought…. Explains why I am called to rejoice in Him with trembling. (Psalm 2:11) Yes, trembling! Now I think I know why there was a Christian denomination called “Quakers.” Serious.
