The Enemy Within

I can’t resist the devil without submitting to God first. That means I have to confess my own wrong desires (the very reason why I am faced with the temptation), repent, turn around and be in agreement with God in my thinking and in my emotions. Yes, if I submit my mind and emotions to God He can change my thinking and even my emotions and desires. The Lord must have total authority over me before I can fight the devil. I can’t resist the enemy if I myself am rebellious against God and is on the side of the enemy! Meaning, I have to examine myself and be honest with myself and with God. After I have repented the devil has to flee! He stays around only when I am in agreement with him! Then I can tell him, “I resist you devil, in Jesus’ Name! Stay away from me!” When I am on God’s side my guardian angel will also be activated to help me. Angels are always in absolute obedience to God and will only do the will of God. If I want to win the battle against the devil I have to change from within.
